Haas team boss Günther Steiner has distanced his team from the current political tensions between Russia and the USA.
Russia is in the world spotlight over a feared invasion of Ukraine as troops line the border between the two countries, though the Kremlin has insisted they are only there for military exercises.

The United States has been at the forefront of Western condemnation amid concerns about the possible movement.
Haas released digital renderings of its 2022 challenger on Friday (Feb. 4), showing a broadly similar livery to last season, using the red, white and blue of the United States and Russia for owner Gene Haas and investor Dmitry Mazepin will, with son Nikita taking the team.
Despite the connections, Steiner has insisted the political tensions do not interest the team.
“We don’t get involved in this policy because it’s too high for us,” said Steiner.
“Of course, like everyone, we are watching everything that is going on in the world. It’s all over the world.
“We’re watching it and if there’s something we’ll take care of it, but right now we’re not interfering with it because we don’t have a voice on these things and I’m glad we don’t have a voice on this one.
“We are here for the sport and that’s what we do. If anything comes up, a sanction or whatever, we’ll take care of it, but there’s nothing we can do about it at the moment.”
